Summer Technology Plan – Ringwood School District
NEW E-MAIL SYSTEM
This weekend the Ringwood School District will be transitioning to a new E-Mail system. The current system of E-Pals will not be used for receiving new e-mails after Friday July 15, 2011. You will be able to still login and look at your old e-mails in the E-Pals system. However E-Pals does not have any sort of export mechanism that will allow for exporting of your current e-mails. In order to retain your old e-mails you will need to forward them to a temporary domain that will then forward that email to the new location of your mailboxes. Instructions are listed below
Retain Old Messages
Click the message you want to retain and forward that message to your same name however to @ringwoodboe.org the following is an example.
Step 1. Open the message
Step 2. Click Forward

Step 3. Type your email address however replace @ringwoodschools.org with @ringwoodboe.org

Step 4. Hit Send
New Email System
During the first week of July a new email system will be introduced to the Ringwood School District.
Step 1. You will need to login to a new webportal at http://webmail.njsts.net

New Computer Images
Over the summer break the Technology Department will be wiping all computers from all classrooms. We do understand that Faculty members may have files and programs on these computers. We would like all Faculty members to do the following
Step 1. Write your name on a piece of Tape or Post-it and tape it to the Computer, NOT THE MONITOR but the actual computer.
Step 2. Move or Copy all files from the Computer Desktop to you’re My Documents folder
Step 3. Copy any files that cannot be erased or wiped out.
Step 3. Copy any files that cannot be erased or wiped out to a USB or Flash drive.
